Frazier presents at IABPAD Conference
Dr. John Frazier, professor of business at Southern Wesleyan University, presented his paper entitled “Using a Single Product Cost Function to Predict Economies of Scale in College Athletic Departments: The Case of Private Four Year Institutions” at the International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines (IABPAD) conference in Orlando, Fla. T
he paper received a research award at the conference and was subsequently printed in the International Journal of Business and Economic Perspectives Spring 2012 Volume. The study examined 578 private four-year schools and determined that there are indeed economies of scale present in athletic departments within these colleges and universities.
