Slabaugh to direct admissions
David Slabaugh is Southern Wesleyan University’s new director of admissions.
Slabaugh comes to SWU with seven years of proven experience in the admissions environment, most recently as assistant director of admissions at Indiana Wesleyan University. He holds a master of arts in organizational leadership and has been described as an “out-of-the-box” thinker.
At Indiana Wesleyan, Slabaugh coordinated the review of more than 4,000 traditional applicants each year and enjoyed successful collaboration with all university departments and academic divisions on recruitment and retention efforts. He has effectively led and trained groups of admission counselors with vision and innovative practices.
“I am honored to be a part of the SWU team. I fully believe God has blessed SWU and I am so excited to partner with everyone on campus,” Slabaugh said.
Slabaugh’s wife, Emily, attended Southern Wesleyan University. They have a daughter, Ella.
