SWU hosts luncheons across S.C.

SWU President Todd Voss, left, updates business, education and government leaders on the university’s future plans during an appreciation luncheon Nov. 12 at the Greenville education center.

During October and November, Southern Wesleyan University invited leaders in business, education and government to a series of appreciation luncheons at its learning centers across the state.

“The appreciation lunches provided a great opportunity for us (SWU) to connect with community partners in each of the markets we serve,” said Chad Peters, Southern Wesleyan’s vice president for enrollment management. “It was an opportunity for us to thank those in attendance for their continued investment in the community. We want to be more than just a place where individuals can complete their degree – we are passionate about serving each community.”

The luncheons, which took place in Central, Charleston, Columbia, Greenville and North Augusta offered opportunities for networking with community leaders as part of ongoing efforts to form strategic partnerships. At each luncheon, President Todd Voss shared graduate success stories, gave updates about online degrees and outlined future plans for the university.
