SWU unveils centennial book
Dr. Bob Black, professor of religion at Southern Wesleyan University, autographs the book he has written, “How Firm a Foundation,” as Dr. Virgil Mitchell and his wife, Mary, look on.
"How Firm a Foundation" details the university’s 100-year history, which is being celebrated throughout this year. Mitchell, age 91, is an alumnus of the university, a trustee emeritus and a longtime supporter of the institution.
