Christy Vaughn was named Teacher of the year for 2010-2011 by her peers at Gettys Middle School in Easley.
A sixth-grade science Teacher, Vaughn has been with Gettys Middle School since 1997. Her favorite approach to teaching is planning and implementing lessons that engage her students and make learning fun and interesting. She graduated from Southern Wesleyan University when it was known as Central Wesleyan College, in 1992.
