Southern Wesleyan University seeks to fill a Marketing faculty position within its School of Business. This is a 12-month, tenure-track position with primary teaching responsibilities within SWU’s Adult and Graduate Studies program.  There is immediate availability for this position.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Responsibilities include teaching working adults at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the university’s evening program, both face-to-face and online modalities.
  2. Curriculum and program development.
  3. Engage in program and course assessment.
  4. Pursue an active research program and/or publish in journals in related field.
  5. Engage in service activities.
  6. Serve on assigned committees related to university functions.
  7. The successful candidate will be located in Columbia but will teach at various learning centers—all located in South Carolina. Some travel between the learning centers is required.

Qualifications/Requirements

  1. Academic. An earned doctorate (PhD or DBA) in business management or administration, marketing or a related discipline is required. Relevant industry experience or applied research is strongly preferred. Salary and rank will be determined by qualifications and experience.

  3. Technology. SWU is committed to maximizing the use of technology in its daily operations and in achieving its strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and familiar with the use of technology within the academic environment including distance learning and learning management systems, web-based, and PC applications including all Microsoft Office applications.
  4. Pre-employment Screening. Employment is contingent on the completion a criminal background screening.
