The annual Southern Wesleyan University P.B. Wood Golf Tournament will be teeing off on Friday, November 6 at Pickens Country Club with First Citizens as the Title Sponsor and John Ross Insurance as the Event Sponsor.

The tournament raises money for the Promise Fund, which supports student scholarships and the areas of greatest need for the University. This event is named in honor of Dr. Paul Baker Wood, a noted psychologist and Southern Wesleyan University professor emeritus. Dr. Wood will be participating in the day’s activities as will WYFF 4’s Dale Gilbert.

This captain’s choice tournament has slots for 36 four-man teams. The spaces go fast, so please sign up quickly if you wish to participate. The fee is $500 for a team or $125 per player. Individual players are welcome to sign up and will be placed with a team. This entrance fee covers greens fees, cart fees, meals, mulligans, and other prizes.

Additional sponsorships are also available at various levels. Platinum sponsorships are $2,500 and include one team registration fee. Gold sponsorships are $1,000 and include one individual registration fee. Hole sponsorships are $250. Tee sponsorships are $100 and Cart sponsorships are $25.

There will be plenty of food provided throughout the day, including a continental breakfast, snacks and a catered lunch by The Parkette Restaurant.
