| PROFILE: | Born in Columbia, Dr. Lavinia B. Anderson knew from a young age that she wanted to be an educator. She is the only one in her family with a Doctorate Degree. Her family is very proud of and supportive of her. Anderson has worked hard to help at-risk students and to educate lower achieving students. She has worked in public education for 10 years. Her love for working with and serving others has led her to serve on and chair several committees within her church. Her love for Christ shines through as she educates new teachers entering the teaching profession.
